Easy. Breezy. Beautiful

The song "easy like Sunday morning" is flowing through my head right now. Even though it's Saturday. Friends, it's 11:31am and I am still in my pj's. I'm sitting on my couch, next to Noah, who is next to Anna and they are watching Cars. Daddy is on the other couch, in his pj's, too. Last night, Brian and I had a pig out, wine fest on our living room floor after the kids went to bed. We had this horrible (delicious) chili and velveeta dip, with wine while we played yahtzee. I know the dip sounds terribly fattening BUT we used baked scoops! You know, to make it healthier. I used ALL of my flex points last night. I have my weigh in on Tuesday. I have been maintaining my weight since June. HOORAY!! I think I've got it down. I hope I've got it down.

After being being beat by Brian three times in Yahtzee (man, he plays good when he's drunk!) I sweetly asked him if I could sleep in...alot. He said "sure honey, anytime." And I did. Until 10:30 am.

ANYWAY, back to the Midnight Movers. They were still there yesterday morning AND all of their furniture was in their house. Of course, their basement could have been cleared out or their bedrooms, my point is this: was there really a point to moving at 2 am? I think not.

Yesterday, I purposely did a ton of housework so I could have a lazy day today. I can't remember the last time we had a Saturday to just "be." It's nice and refreshing and I'm scared half to death. I'm not a good sitter. I like to do things. (IN FACT, I bought a pedometer the other day, and I walk 10,000 steps just in my house everyday.) Anna and Noah have their 3rd and 4th Birthdays this month, every year I create a slideshow and every year I finish in the 11th hour. I'm determined to finish early! Also, the remainder of our Christmas decorations will come down today.

I hope you all of a great weekend. I leave you with a great picture taken last Monday!

HO HO HO-CHOOO!!

We are still sick. Please note the word "we." This sucks. The one thing I wanted to do today, on Christmas Eve, was attend mass twice. Once this morning because it's Sunday, and once early this afternoon to celebrate Christmas. But we are still in our pajamas. Not only have I been plagued by this terrible cold, but I also have insomnia (for the past three nights) and I am so tired.

I wanted to wake up feeling better, after a long night's rest, get dressed for church, stop on our way home for Dunkin' Donuts coffee, come home, bake cinnamon rolls and have the kids open up the little gifts we bought them and spend the day listening to Christmas carols, wrapping last minute gifts, baking and smelling my plethera of Christmas candles. Instead, we are sitting on our bed, eating cinnamon rolls, I am blogging, the kids are watching a Christmas episode of Little Einstein's and Brian is being paged by his job, in between sneezes.

I also want to mention that my poor sister-in-law is plagued with something even worse. They had planned to visit for the Christmas weekend, but her husband is so sick, they have to stay put all weekend. I feel so bad for them and wish they were here with us. :(

Although we wish we were well and doing all the "Christmas-y" things that people do, we're pretty happy right now, runny noses and all. Sometimes no matter how you plan, it doesn't turn out, but in the end, it all works out.

Merry Christmas, Everyone.

It always works out.

Photo entry

I'm just too tired to actually TYPE my Thanksgiving Day weekend. Don't you know how much energy typing takes?!?! Today I felt more like myself, although not completely. I did, however, spend 3-4 hours cleaning my basement! (Lynette, you would be SO impressed!) I figure if Brian and I both spent 8 more hours a piece down there, we could have it clean. Seriously, it's that bad. It's an unfinished full basement that we dream of finishing but we can't because we can't afford it. We have created a fun play area for the kids, filled with rugs, toys, a tv and a VCR. They're very happy down there. very.happy. Which is nice for us because we get a ton of work done. ;-)
On to the photos!

Noah on his way to Thanksgiving Dinner!

Brian, Ryan and a can of Diet Coke.

Anna and her best cousin, Jenna. Anna has been asking for red hair lately. (seriously!) My Mom bought some wigs for the playroom at her house. Both the girls were very pleased.

My brother Dan and baby Tessa. They arrived Saturday night at 6:30pm and left at 8am the next morning, they had a 10 hour drive ahead of them. Poor things.
